5G-MEDIA latest dissemination activities

Our colleagues from RTVE have been involved in several events in order to disseminate the 5G-MEDIA Project.

The first event was in Pamplona (Spain) in 21/09/2019 during the XXX TIC Congress (https://congresotic.com/quees/) and Pere Vila, Director of Technological Strategy and Digital Innovation in RTVE, explained the 5G-MEDIA Project and he also explained what it is expected regarding 5G networks and services in the media vertical.

 The second event was held in Málaga (Spain) on 02/10/2019 at the University. This time the speakers were Pere Vila (Director of Technological Strategy and Digital Innovation), Adolfo Muñoz (Director of Broadcast and Networks), Oscar Prieto (Manager of Networks) and Gabriel Solsona. The audience were students, professors and researchers.

Pere Vila had the opportunity to explain the 5G challenges and what it is expected regarding 5G networks and services in the media world, while Adolfo Muñoz carried out a presentation about the global vision of 5G-MEDIA Project and its uses cases.

Finally, Oscar Prieto went deeper into the use case 2, comparing between a TV Production today and a 5G-MEDIA Remote Production and its acquired achievements doing use of the VNF developed in the 5G-MEDIA Project like the MPE (Media Process Engine) and CNO (Cognitive Network Optimizer) and Gabriel Solsona explained the KPI achieved in the project as well as the savings using the Remote Production.

 

 

 

 

 

The third event was held in Salamanca (Spain) on 10/10/2019 at the University. This event was led by Ricardo Rivero (Rector of Universidad de Salamanca) and Federico Montero (Corporate Director at RTVE) on the occasion of the 1st Workshop on Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Media Sector.

On the 5G-MEDIA side,the speakers were, as per the second event, Pere Vila (Director of Technological Strategy and Digital Innovation), Adolfo Muñoz (Director of Broadcast and Networks), Oscar Prieto (Manager of Networks) and Gabriel Solsona. The audience were students, professors and researchers and startups. The presentations followed the same content explained in the event held in Málaga.
